When I was in college, I smoked Camel straights. Some ill-informed, nervous- Nelly members of my college newspaper staff predicted that if I kept that up, I wouldn't live to see 30. Their pusillanimous predictions were monumentally wrong. Having just discovered this scientific evidence, I now fully understand why:

I am not making that up. If you look closely, you can see the album cover in the background during the first 30 seconds of the video. Frank never released a Music for Drinkers Only album. It was just assumed that all Frank's fans were drinkers.

Oh my gosh, seeing that doctor smoking about killed me! LOL There are times when I still get hit with those sudden and intense "nic fits" and seeing that video caused one. :D
ReplyDeleteI had a grammar school friend and prep school friend, an Italian named Jimmy -- who is now a lawyer for the IRS-- and his old grandfather, who we used to call "Papa Casino," -- a Sicilian who used to make his own Italian sausage (which was wonderful) told us ---"I started smokin' at 10 -- and I smoked Camels that ain't got no filters -- the toughest kind"
